According to some other websites, this game will offer a wide variety in control methods. Specifically, you've got four choices: The stand-alone Wiimote held on its side, the Classic Controller, the Wiimote+Analog stick nunchuck, and the GameCube controller.
The thing is, if using just the Wiimote is an option, does that mean they'll let us use the D-pad for movement instead of of taunting?
I'd be pretty excited if that's the case. I love fighting and action games (especially 2d ones), but I usually can't play Smash Bros worth a crap. A lot of my friends who are generally uncoordinated and play only RPGs will hand me my *** in this game, much to my dismay. It's just a matter of taste, but I can't stand the controls in this game (feeling like they are floaty and unresponsive) and feel like the option to use a D-pad might help, if only a little. Being able to double-tap the D-pad to run, for instance, feels a lot tighter to me than having to thrust the analog stick in different directions. This is, more or less, basic philosophy when it comes to digital vs analog controls, or precision version organic properties... or something. XD
Anyways, I was just wondering if you guys knew anything about this. I kind of feel doubtful... but heck, apparently, the director of this game (whose name I can't give off the top of my head) said he wanted to have it so all these control methods were possible. That would make me ecstatic, since this game is a lot more popular than most games that I play and I'd love to be competitive at it.
