Will one-on-one Challenger Approaching fights return on Ultimate?

Hey guys, will one-on-one Challenger Approaching fights return like on previous smash titles when you encounter a unlockable challenger and then unlock it after you defeated it on Ultimate?

Because I loved doing those and unlocking them so I hope one-on-one Challenger Approaching fights return on Ultimate!

I think so.
I doubt they'll force you to play World of Light to unlock all the characters.
They'll still leave a couple of alternatives to unlocking them.
And with that comes the one-on-one challenger fights.
