Will ANYBODY be on SWF the day/week of Brawl's release?

You may consider this a dumb post, a waste of time, or anything. But I really want to know this..

Will anybody be on the boards at all when Brawl comes out? Will you stay at home? Skip school? Lock yourself in your room until you unlock EVERYTHING in the game except to sign in on SWF?

But just think about that question...

Will anybody have the patience enough to, maybe, record some matches of them playing Brawl and upload it to their computer for everyone else who doesn't have the game yet to view & see?

Will anyone sign onto SWF (Other than Kiri) and give feedback on how to unlock certain things in the game or to give their input on what the game is like to them?

Will anyone be on SWF at all? I'm sure some people who won't have the game yet would want to read & review our opinions about the game. We can be helpful.

That is my question? Any answers? (Mods are free to lock.) :)

I barely even sign on SWF anymore as it is, the server kills my computer.
That being said, I will probably sign on to find out how to unlock everything. I'm not above getting a little help

The only people who will be on SWF will be the folk that did not reserve Brawl, like me:ohwell:.

I don't care. I'll get Smash within a week of it's release.

No matter what it takes .

Yeah. I'm basically trying to see who will actually be here on SWF when the game comes out, but I already know a majority of us won't be on here at all...

A lot of people will be here, because not everybody here is American. A lot of us are Europeans (like me)or Japanese or whatever. We will be here!

I'm sure some people will be on smashboards, just as some people will be playing Brawl until their eyes fall out.

Since I can't really play it forever this time, I'm going to play it from time to time.

im pretty much devoting my week to Brawl, taking vacation from work, will probably skip classes. I will be sigining onto SWF probably after the first 24 hours to see if some people who are as crazy as me have discovered the new generation of Adv. techs, and possibly for help to unlock stuff.

That is going to be one sleep deprived week.

Well, my Gamestop has a midnight release... I'll just play from midnight to midnight and no boards on that day but then on monday I'll go on and talk about Brawl.

I highly doubt I'll log on the day of. I don't know if I can transfer my Gamestop reserve from the one in my mall to the new one that opened up outside of the mall. Even so, don't know if they're doing a midnight release. I'll find out though, and if they are, I'll transfer it so I can snag it Saturday night and play well into Sunday night. Don't expect to log in until I'm goofing off in class on Monday. =P

Hmm I'd have the game then, so I wouldn't be here. I'll come for friend codes and look for some adv tech stuff though.

Most members on this board have forgotten Europeans exist.

:urg:
I didn't forget! I'm just talking for everyone that will get this game. Europeans, too.

Will YOU be on the boards when it's released?

I'll be on, 'cos I'm European. However, when I get Brawl, that'll be my number one thing to do when I come home. When I'm not playing it though (which will be rare) I'll be looking for friend codes. So if I add you, you add me, then I can play with a friend anytime! (Well, nearly)

Almost all the characters I want to play as start out unlocked (Bowser, Pokemon Trainer, and Olimar); the only exception to that is Lucario. As soon as I get the game I want to start recording matches with fellow TeamScapers ender, milk, and Simna ibn Sind. Hopefully we'll be able to do just that (expect to see Simna screwing around a lot with Lucas, and Ness shortly thereafter).

So yeah, I'll probably come on here, because I'll also want to find some people to play against on wifi for a few matches.

Ive kind of been wanting to play random fools on the net. But no one is really playing on line in Japan yet. You just get booted out of random play because after 5 minutes no one joins.

Well we don't know our brawl codes until we actually get the game...

I'm sure the server will crash before midnight EST when EVERYONE will be on and spamming about how close the game is...

After midnight EST activity will die... as all the east coasters are playing... 3 hours before those of us on the pacific side :(

After midnight pacific time not a lot of people will be on... but within a few days it will explode again...

there will be tonz of "zomg <3<3<3<3 threads" and "new discovery/combo" threads...

and on top of that all of use are going to be exchanging brawl codes after we unlock everything in the first few days...

= my theory of the night of March 9...

So here's a story before I go to work.

I pre-ordered this at my Gamestop right across the university, so that when I get done with class super early in the morning, I can drive over and pick it up.

This was of course, under the assumption Brawl was releasing Feb. 10th >.<

The point? The Gamestop that I reserved it at is inside a mall i.e. No Midnight Release >.<!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I gotta wait till Sunday morning (8 AM, and I WILL be there at 8 lol) to go pick it up...

What also sucks? the 9th is the last Sunday of our university's Spring Break. >.< A full day of Brawl yes, but a full day is not nearly enough.............

Edit: And yes, a full 8 extra hours of waiting is terrible. Because knowing my best friend Alpha, he will be calling me every other hour in the middle of the night telling me what he just got done doing, and then wonder why I'm not playing Brawl, and then he'll laugh as he "pretends" (each time at that) that he didn't know I didn't pick it up yet.

Ugh!

yeah one of my friends pre ordered a copy at the mall... all the rest of us are going to be playing and have everything unlocked... kinda sucks :ohwell:

Honestly though... after the first few days you'll be caught up... or even after the first day... and itll be like you never got brawl 8 hours late :)

Nice story, Joshua.

I reserved mine at the Gamestop off Whitlessey Bullivard (Strip Mall). So, I wonder if they will do a midnight release...:ohwell:
