I use the gamepad. It's actually quite a good controller! Wireless is good enough nowadays that there is no effect from it.

My controls are:
A:Jump
B:Attack
Y:Special
X:Jump
ZL:Shield
ZR:Grab
C-Stick-Smash
Tap jump off.

The Gamepad fits very comfortably in my hands, and is the only way I play at the moment, since I don't have a pro controller, yet.
