I have been thinking about what the Wii U only mode could be for Smash Wii U. We already have Smash Run for 3DS.

That...was...I think we already have the answer.
Buuut... I want those on 3DS! Why wouldn't the Stage Builder work on 3DS??If we get Classic Mode, Stage Builder and All star Mode, I'd be fine.
For Fun and For Glory are in the 3DS version already.in addition to For Fun and For Glory.
There will be a version called For Friends and you play as Ike, saving your friends.
Hahaha! I'm quite certain Smash Run is 3DS only as that particular version of Sm4sh has been described as more of a single player experience and customization has been talked about at length too given how people have reported unlocking custom moves via Smash RunHe hasn't shown any Wii U exclusive modes yet for a reason. The 3DS version is coming out first, so he's hyping the features of those. But he's going to want to keep the hype moving to the Wii U release, so he'll unveil those modes in the time between releases.
I'm hoping for 1) Melee-style adventure mode, 2) Individual & Overarching target test stages (One for each character, and then 5 for all to share. Everyone's happy), 3) The return of multiplayer All-Star & 4) And that Sakurai was just messing with us and that Smash Run is totally on Wii U
That sounds a lot like Melee's Adventure Mode, and I would love that. I ddin't like a great dal of SSE because of lack of Nintendo enemies.Maybe a mode like The Great Cave Offensive where you go through doors that lead to all the Nintendo worlds beating on enemies, searching for the door that leads to the final boss.
That'll require two things:A mode where you go through a course that contains invisible obstacles and enemies. Some are invisible to the TV screen while some are invisible to the game pad screen.
Or people who actually want to keep some obstacles and enemies invisible, for an increase in challengeThat'll require two things:
- People who prefer using the gamepad over the Wii U Pro/GameCube controller.
- People who can tolerate constantly flicking their head up and down to look at both the TV and gamepad.
This makes the most sense, I can see them implementing this. Smash Master mode, where a 5th player can be added to the action. Perhaps they'll make stages specifically for such a mode, like an interactive New SMB stage where the gamepad user can place platforms or break blocks and whatnot.I've heard about people wanting a Wii U mode where the gamepad user would drop items and hazards and such into the battlefield while the four fighters duke it out. I doubt it'll happen but it's an interesting thought.
Darn, you ninjad my idea. I was gonna talk about how each boss in this mode would gain extra moves ONLY for this mode and they would all be selectable via gamepad byt also harder to kill. Maybe a mode where someone just summons assist trophies or pokealls that don't assist anyone. Or placing items wherever they want, incuding control of the Smash Ball. A mode where the fifth player messes with everyone but it would only be available in Free For All. It would be a cool way to allow players to lay as bosses. This makes the most sense, I can see them implementing this. Smash Master mode, where a 5th player can be added to the action. Expanding on the idea of controlling stage bosses and hazards, they could probably add a Master Hand mode. You can pick any stage, but of course it would be the Final Destination version, and the gamepad user would have a list of attacks he can tap on.
And expanding on that idea even further, it would be awesome if they had a "Boss Battles" game mode where it's the gamepad player vs. up to four standard fighters. But perhaps that would be straying too far from the original smash bros. formula....
How about this for a restrained idea: the gamepad user can spectate a match. You can zoom in on certain characters, or control the camera freely, whatever you want to do.
And if you want to get crazy with this idea, try this: you can spectate from a first person view on the side of the battlefield using the gyroscope to look around! You would literally be right in the action, watching the characters duke it out right in front of you!
That would probably look pretty silly from an outsider's perspective, though, huh? Imagine 4 players on a couch playing smash the standard way, and then you've got a 5th guy holding a screen to his face while turning around in circles going "Whoooaa!"
I don't know about you all, but I would probably trade Mewtwo for that last idea.
Not really, but you get the point
