So I'm completely new here so please don't spit roast me if this question has been asked.

But what is project m doing about SSB4? Are they going to make a new version for the Wii U so you can have a Melee like experience for SSB4? Or are they going to bring SSB4 To the Wii so we can have SSB4 there? Or are they going to keep it the way it is, and have it a combination of the first 3 games and exclude the fourth?

Probably not. They might just continue with project M until it is finally done. It's basically done enough minus a few glitches.

We don't even know what ssb4 will bring gameplay wise. For all we know it might be a better gaming experience than brawl.

I think they said they won't make a PM for Smash 4, and thats fine. Besides. I don't think we will get lucky enough to have a game with such a perfect exploit like brawl to make mods so easy. Plus with Nintendo finally able to update and patch, I just don't see it being as easy for the PM team this time around.

Project M is more than a mod now. It is it's own game. People have been gaining knowledge about matchups, terminology, gameplay styles and statistics for years now in this game. Smash 4 will be a different affair completely unrelated to Project M in any way. This mod has evolved to become its own thing. I don't think the PMBR seeks to "improve" Smash 4 as they did with Brawl, we've got an improved Brawl now and that was the goal. They've said multiple times that they will not touch Smash 4. I think it's best for all of us to play Smash 4 and Project M alongside instead of worrying which game will be left behind by the competitive community or if Smash 4 will be modded.

TL;DR: Just don't worry about it and keep playing the current Project M.

Would be nice if we can use the gcn adapter for Wii games on the Wii U, then we could finally play PM on the Wii U. Likely won't happen though.

Nothing they are two separate entities that will both do their own thing

Are they going to make a new version for the Wii U so you can have a Melee like experience for SSB4?
Probably not, like somebody said above they probably will keep making P:M until its finished
On top of that the modding community for Wii-U is way weaker the resources really aren't their yet

Or are they going to bring SSB4 To the Wii so we can have SSB4 there?
No they will not bring anything from SSB4 into the wii so that Nintendo doesn't shut them down.... really....

Or are they going to keep it the way it is and have it a combination of the first 3 games and exclude the fourth?
THIS^^^^^
Even though it's really only a combo of the second and third game

Moral of the story:

You will not get anything from SSB4 in P:M
Nintendo will most likely C&D

You will not get anything from P:M in SSB4
It's just not going to happen
