Wifi Help

I am trying to play wifi with my friend but it glitches and he says I am killing myself and it shows me he is killing himself. Any help? We both have the wifi safe version. COuld it be he has a Wii U and I am using my Wii?

No, sometimes (rarely) you get desynced in wifi. I think they are trying to fix it but its nowhere near there top priority.
