Wi-Fi Question

Yeah, i'm selling my blue ds to my friend for $50. but i have a red and black ds lite, and i have metroid prime hunters and pokemon pearl. *wifi games* now my question is, if i put my metroid game in my red and black ds and go on wifi, *change the wifi settings i mean* will i lose my record? i'm a two star and i'm like 10 points off of a 3-star, so i wanted to know.

i could of got a red and black ds but it cost extra because it came with brain age so i just got a black one.
