Why was the weak hitbox on ROB's Utilt eff'd up?

I'm still trying to figure that out...
There where no infinites with it and there never where. You di towards the Uptilt to get hit by the strong hitbox, not away. That just sets you up for another one, thus the infinate. Please change it back, it ***** so hard in vBrawl.

It created a vacuum effect where it locks the characters in place for an infinite in Brawl+. Are you talking about the utilt where it hits the opponent with the side of his body? If so, I just told you the reason why it was removed.

Nintendevil, there wasn't an infinite, but a weird trap in the utilt on many characters. It literally could hit 5-10 times and you couldn't do a thing

This reeks of ignorance.

Did you test inward Di or not?

EDIT:

OrbitofGiza (1:41:33 AM): You cannot DI during that kind of flinch
Nintendevil (1:41:40 AM): Yes you can
OrbitofGiza (1:41:43 AM): No you cannot.
Nintendevil (1:41:44 AM): you could in vBrawl
OrbitofGiza (1:41:50 AM): Yes you could it vBrawl
Nintendevil (1:42:07 AM): shanus put a code for fixed weak hits?
OrbitofGiza (1:42:20 AM): Yep.
OrbitofGiza (1:42:38 AM): No
OrbitofGiza (1:42:40 AM): I misread.
Nintendevil (1:42:43 AM): ...
Nintendevil (1:42:50 AM): wats that mean then
Nintendevil (1:42:59 AM): no what
OrbitofGiza (1:43:02 AM): No you can DI it.
Nintendevil (1:43:18 AM): then it's not an infinate
OrbitofGiza (1:43:24 AM): Yep.
OrbitofGiza (1:43:29 AM): Did I say it was?
Nintendevil (1:43:34 AM): THANK YOU
Nintendevil (1:43:40 AM): no but shanus or someone did

Either it's not DIable and is an infinite, or is and is escapable.

I just want it back because it *****. I will leave ROB alone after this.

I think they're saying that without it being and infinite it does hit up to 10 times in a row due the strange hitboxes/hit angles and that DIing does work but it has a strongly diminished effect compared to most other moves. People are already bawwing over foxes 3-5 hit u-tilt comboes so I think 5+ hit u-tilt comboes that rack up big % are considered not very balanced or challenging to pull off.

Ding ding ding even if it wasn't an infinite we don't want to see people pulling skillful u-tilt combos off like what I assume was ROBs problem. ROB has a ton going for him I don't think losing a situation u-tilt 'combo' is somehow going to ruin him.

Nintendevil, it was tested a LOT. I'm telling you this, on many characters, an interior hitbox put them in a spin tumble in which if u literally watched it (try and SDI as much as you want, it was like bullet seed middle almost) you would be stuck for 5-10 hits before getting into a normal utilt to be combo'd. We are talking about a free 30% PRECOMBO in which the player could literally not even DI it and it was trivial to set up.

To add to my point, you should learn what each hitbox does, how much damage, KB and KBG it had and see why the numbers flat out showed why it was a problem (i.e. no BKB and very very small KBG sucking in and then the other direction).

So you tested it with inward DI, that's all I wanted to know. I was assuming you where talking about trying to DI out which doesn't work, because a lot of people are stupid and do that.

Lock this.
