Smash Journeyman
Hey, I was reading this article about SSBB and they said snake won't have any guns. Why not? They gave Fox and Falco guns, and they gave shiek needles. I don't get it.

Why take away snakes guns

Same reason why 4Kids turned Sanji's cigarette into a lolli.
Because kids aren't allowed to see bad thingsies that actually exist. Nobody has a laser gun (yet). As soon as laser guns actually exist and turn out to be lethal weapons, they'll be shunned no less than the bullety sort.

It's not THAT much of a drama. Snake can easily stay within character without the use of realistic fire arms. Now, if it were a character who solely uses guns, like, I don't know, Duke Nukem (Not that he'd ever be in the series anyway), then there would be a problem.

I don't think guns would fit in Smash, anyway. I would actually prefer to see explosives and things exploding.
