Why should characters be taken out?

I've seen a lot of discussions where people hope that a char be taken out of brawl. Most of these staments have been biased and unsensible. I need an unbiased answer. Why would some characters need to be taken out. Give both exapmles and reasons.

There is none I don't think. And if they come up with a example like "Cuz they suck and they are annoying" it's worthless not only that but if you want a character out cuz its low tier, How about in Brawl they just make them better? -.-

People like to get rid of what they think is "Crap".

Your average smasher see's crap as poop and a waste of space.

Anyways More diverse the better. So keep all chars add new and new move sets or a new aspect to the game to make it deeper

More divers = Better
Take stuff away = worse (Unless of course it's extremely broken)

Probably because Sakurai said that not all charactes in Melee will be returning, and the clones that are ery similar in play style would be most likely to be cut (Pichu, Doc Mario for example)

Why take Doc out?
He in my opinion is nothing like Mario or luigi.

then you contradict yourself by adding in another "Mario alike" "Paper Mario?" -.-

Doc can't be played the same as Mario. Cuz they aren't the same at all. Moves look the same? yes.

there isn't a reason Doc should be taken out, If there is room. People who are good with Doctor mario aren't automatically good with Mario.

If they remake all of docs moves - fine. But like I said more diverse. The better.
I don't even like pichu and I don't think they should get rid of him. Infact perhaps just make him not suck as much or a different move set from pikachu. with different physics.

Diverse + Depth = Better. Taking things out doesn't do this unless its broken (Like IC infinite grab dmg thing IMO)

doc is reasonably similar.
but most clones should be luigified.

Swing a Giant Booster shot.
Yea Young link is probably the single most closest carbon copied clone.
Young link had different weapons from adult link no? why not just change the weapons for B-moves?
Instead of removing Just change/ Add.

Sakurai Stated Not all Characters will return.
Most obvious examples would be Dr.Mario, Roy and Pichu
Sorta that might be taken out would be Falco, Ice Climbers and Game & Watch
Unlikely Possibitiy would be Shiek and Ness (Lucas replacement?)

Yea then as a director I guess good guesses would be Clones.

Probably not Ganon, he'll prolly be given his own move set based off a game or something.
