Well if Moyashi is going, one of them is obvious. (Also I guess Sensei, Boom...for one of them, probably Pikachu)

Would probably be Boom, Kefit, and some others vs Moyashi, Sensei, some others (m2k )

What do you know, a kirby beating a pikachu in an extremely high level game.

My personal "proof" is playing smash since it released, and being a part of the competitive community since 2004. I've seen the matches more times so many more times than most of the community it's comparable to how short most of you've been playing lol. I'm not saying kirby isn't a great character, but you continually put players who are equal against eachother and main those characters, you'll get pikas coming out on top a lot more. A few recent videos doesn't change years of results.

No, its
jousuke beats isai in a 12 char by like 8 stocks, and isai gets too scurred to enter the japanese tournament, which they scheduled around his trip, which was probably extremely insulting and makes him and possibly americans in general look really bad -> jousuke is the best

I had an easier time beating Kikoushi with Pikachu than with Kirby. Pikachu > Kirby unless you can't DI like in the Japanese version ROFL, then it may be a little more even but Pikachu is still THE BEST. XD

Oh yeah I had more luck against Moyashi's Kirby with Jiggly than with Pikachu/Kirby. Therefore, Jiggly is officially a better Kirby counter than Kirby/Pikachu XD

On paper and in friendlies it might look like pika is better than kirby, but in a highly stressful match at 10:00 in the morning? Count how many times Moyashi did a pivot up tilt in his matches against boom in the tournament. In friendlies he did it all the time. I'm pretty sure he did none in that match. It is way easier to be good and consistent with kirby without much tech skill. And in a game where mistakes = death at that high skill level, kirby seems like the best choice if you want to win lol.

this is not an argument for whether one character > another

you can definitely say kirby is a good tournament character because he does not require as much focus, which lets you cruise through pools and only have to focus on high-end matches, but that does not make kirby better than pika period
