Why is Snake nowhere to be found on the Smashbros.com site?

Some speculate it's because he and metaknight are secret characters. But if Ike's a secret character, as some also speculate, then there goes that theory.

The truth is, we just don't know.

It's already confirmed that Snake is an unlockable character, so as "Nothing Rhymes With Circus" and a bunch of other people said, it's a possibility.

Yeah, I too think Snake is an unlockable, which would explain why we've seen Meta-Knight in several screenshots but the only place to see Snake is the first two trailers. I'm sure we'll see Meta soon enough and see Solid Snake around the same time he starts unveiling hidden characters.

Sakurai's updating tendencies are a bit strange when you think about it. Though people focus in on the characters, there's also the desinct fact that there are many other things that were shown in the trailer that have been left out.

For instance, the Halberd. Now I assume that this update will be right after Meta, but there are other stages that we've seen that havn't been updated as well. Mario Circuit, Pokemon Stadium, and Snake's new stae (although that falls under the same thing as Metaknight and the Halberd) There are also other things like crawling, with is just a mechanic, with no need to be unlocked.

Well theres a slight chance that it might be being updated this right second and its just taking them a while. Also they have to keep SOME characters a secrete at least for a while longer i means we still have to wait 3 more MONTHS.

EDIT: nvm. if i were jumping to conclusions, i would say he does stuff randomly. only some things relate to one another in series, like Ike and his stage rite after. that has been my same theory of his updates since i started looking at the site again

Yeah there most likely secret characters like play through Kirby's story to unlock or something and snake will be a crazy thing like Mewtwo and play the game a long time.
