Why doesn't the custom music work for me??

I followed these instructions here:

& can successful put hacks on my wii like infinite replays & others of that nature but once I put music in the folder & go to stage it plays that same brawl music..

Can anyone explain any flaws people do when getting hacks like these & what my problem might be??

proper folder location and name?
proper renaming of the song files?
songs converted properly?

got to options my music and play your tune 1st and then if its working up the level of the tune you added so it plays more often then the others that are there as well

Make sure your BRSTM's are in [sd]:\private\wii\app\RSBE\pf\sound\strm\

Also, that guide might be a tiny bit outdated since it uses my text-based converter, try using this: http://www.smashboards.com/showthread.php?t=241578

If your PAL, i don't think music hacks will work. So that might be the problem..
