Why does my GSP gets higher when i am not playing online?!

ok i was getting ready to play online, and once i went through the characters to figure out which 1 i wanted to play today i suddenly noticed from some that their GSP was higher then last time! o.o this got me confused because i haven't played with them nor does someone else uses my switch..so how is this even possible and why does this happen?

can someone explain this to me please? ^^''

GSP calculates how many people are worse than you. If your points go up, it means there's an influx of players who perform worse than you.

For the characters you haven't used in online yet, it gives an average gsp based on the characters you have used.
