Why does Club Nintendo "suck" in terms of what you can actually get?

Especially, if you're not Japanese?

Look at what Club Nintendo in Japan has:

Generally, Japan has much better stuff.
For starters, they've gotten OSTs for Kid Icarus: Uprising, Pilotwings: Resort, Mario Kart Wii, Super Mario Galaxy 2, Star Fox 64 3D, Donkey Kong Country Returns, amongst others.
Europe have just Super Mario Galaxy's OST (both normal and platinum) and that's it.
US doesn't even have a single soundtrack at all.
But it's not just about the OSTs. There are other things Japan's CN has that should be available outside Japan as well.

Well, Club Nintendo has been going on in Japan far longer than here in the US (which opened up in 2008). Still, Club Nintendo US is pretty lackluster. Even in Europe they get much better premium awards, like those Mario Kart 7 trophies.

I was able to reach the platinum rank this year, but in the end, I just decided to take the calendar (a gift that gold ranked members can get), as the Zelda rewards that the platinum users could get are of very little use to me.

All I have from there is the Ultra Hand game and the Majora's Mask soundtrack. I personally wish that I had doc Louis's Punch-Out, but I think that there's an ISO ofit online somewhere. I think that they were selling a fan for 800 points. WHY?!
