Why couldn't they Japanese openings?

The title says it all, the openings for the anime series should've stayed the same.

well, they probly didnt keep the openings japanese bcuz there is a slight difference btween eastern and western culture, and bcuz not many ppl would understand it here in america.

I had the pleasure of watching the entire first season in Japanese on DVD. I never once fast forwarded through the song.

All of the Japanese versions are supperior to the English ones with the exception of the second season. What the heck was that? Oh, and the fifth season Japanese was surprisingly good.
