Make another thread about additional Sonic characters joining the game. We need more. Especially ones about Knuckles. We sure don't have enough of those.

Knuckles, Tails and Shadow are all cooler than Sonic (my opinion), but none of them are in. Sad but true. Enough is enough already.

No other Sonic will get in sadly. They'll give the spot to another character from a different series. Knuckles would amazing though. He would have his own unique move set and he would have the ability to glide and can you say, Hyper Knuckles for Final Smash?

I would feel bad about that, but I happen to be one of those fanboys. It's just that my dreams have already been crushed since I realized long ago that we'd be lucky to even get Sonic (what with SEGA generally being douches). So hoping for more Sonic characters is pushing it.

Don't be greedy, ya'll. Just be thankful we got Sonic.

You could say that.

But I could argue that Peach, Yoshi, Mr. Game & Watch, and Captain Falcon don't seem like very playable characters. But they were in Melee.

Anyone can be a playable character. Knuckles is more obvious since punching is kind of his thing, but Tails attacks with his tails in many games and has gadgets to work with, plus any moves he had in Sonic Battle. Really not that hard for him to work.

Not so. Knuckles being third party is a huge thing that's holding him back. Yes, third parties are allowed in Brawl, as we've seen. But the focus should still be on the Nintendo characters. If we start doubling up the 3rd party franchises, then the focus starts to drift, and Nintendo knows that.

They already have Sonic. It it not logical for them to add someone like Knuckles or even Tails. Even though Knuckles does technically have a chance, I would not say he has a good one. Lucas' inclusion doesn't change that.

Dude Lucas isn't exactly unknown. He's from the same series as Ness, and is the star of Mother 3 and is Claus's twin brother. He's very popular in Japan. He's far from unknown. And I'll give Knuckles 35% thats it. Remember, this is a NINTENDO game and regardlessof how many third party characters they add to the game, this a game based primarily on NINTENDO all-stars.

The third party characters that have made it make sense...

1.) Snake--originated on NES, a classic video game series
2.) Sonic--biggest rival of Mario to date, has appeared on Wii in Sonic and the Secret of the Rings game and will appear in obviously Brawl, and Mario and Sonic at the Olympics.

Knuckles is more vital to SEGA and Sonic and all though he may appear as an Assist trophy and maybe a collectible trophy, he has no major ties to Nintendo right now and thus, will not become a playable character when Nintendo will most likely focus on characters like Ganondorf, Geno, Bowser Jr., Marth, etc. that should be there first.

i think that tails should be an assist trophy with his mech (more recent gameS) and knuckles should be his own char.(thanks to his gliding/digging/punching abilities)
