Who is Third place in a tournament?

I was talking with some friends about a tournament... they said the one who lose in winner bracket final... is automatilly 3rd place... but i see in most brackets that is always the one who lose in loser brackets final...

Can someone explain me that?

 

[What's The Point]

The loser of winner bracket final is placed directly into losers final. It's not automatically 3rd place, it's guaranteed 3rd place.

he means whoever loses in winners finals is guranteed ATLEAST third, meanng they could get first or second but they can not place lower than third
