Who hates what G4 has become

I mean seriously, I go there, and like there's only like 5 mins of gaming on the whole channel. This channel used to be the best for gaming needs, and just gaming in general, but now all thats on there is Cheaters (not our fav Cheat! this is the stupid cheating on show) and Cops, there's some good show's like unbeatable (some japanese word i forgot) but they have nothing to do with video games. Everything is all sex related on this dam channel. UGH, does anyone else agree?

Can't say I hate G4 since I was never really into that station to begin with. I do like the variety of shows to a degree, though it could be better. If I watched television more often and all they was showing were nothing but games, then I'd be somewhat upset.

It wasn't that good before, since we have gamefaqs and other sites like that, but the new version is virtually pointless.

I see your point, but to a channel that was dedicated to games, can't it atleast have a balance, now it's 99% other stuff 1% games, I wouldnt mind if it was 60% other stuff, 40% games. They probably are trying to appeal to the mainstream but a balance or semi balance would be nice. PORTAL!!! lolz I'm random

I never used G4, but it looks more fail then it did in the past. Bar-Ninja Warrior, none of it remotely appeals to me, and I see more on fps than any other game type. I guess it's expected though, NA games > Jp games in America...

It should of stuck to just video games. Theres a lot of bad shows now Attack of the Show and sometimes X-Play are about all that is watchable. And Cops of course.

i used to like g4. Xplay used to be a good show but now even that kinda sucks and its the only video game show left. The best thing on the channel in Ninja Warrior and wh ever said MXC>Ninja warrior could not be more wrong. its not just imo its a fact.

Also odd complaint but i think the channel started going bad when they replaced all the nerd host with hot host. i like looking at hot women but i can do that on almost every other channel i want my gaming news from nerd i trust.

Tech TV had a purpose, had a niche. G4 sadly had a nich that was already being filled on the internet. Thus, to become profitable, they completely changed their channel to show cheap re-runs and imports.

Even though TechTv wasn't my thing, it could have actually succeeded at its original goal, G4 was doomed to fail because they were trying to do the wrong things with it. If they would have put a focus on a more select group, if they would have done things like broadcast Evo finals instead of pandering towards the more general gamers but brought something new to Video Game news industry, they could have succeeded, but sadly, they brought nothing new, and if it were not for Morgen Web, I don't think they would have an original show left.

In fact, look at X-Play. It was oddly enough NOT a very news based show, they knew they couldn't compete with Gamespot, IGN, Kotaku, etc. in terms of giving people what they wanted in terms of reviews, so they went the Angry Video Game nerd route, except with some very, very light plot and reoccurring themes. Once they became a straight news show though, I stopped watching.

G4 is so bad now it's sad. All they show is Cops, Cheaters, and Ninja Warrior. I remember when they first merged, I'd watch that channel all day and enjoy myself. Every show was about games or tech. The new G4 even somehow managed to ruin freakin' X-Play. How do you do that? >_<

I don't know. It's just...a really dumb channel now, lol. Not just a bad video game channel, a bad channel in general that shows "reality" shows from 5 years ago. And it's always the same episode. *Sigh* They really need to change something up because at this rate, it's going to die. >_>

I liked techtv when they merged i didn't mind it, at the time i wasn't very happy about it but no since im like a big tech geek that would be heaven, I remember the last episode of Portal, grr, stupid hurricane Charley!!!!!!!!!!! I missed the last episode of my fav tv series on G4 cuz we were getting ready for the big hurricane

What really irked me was the way she said it, like she had something personal against Ness, or something. "Ness the most USELESS character." c'mon! I've gotten my *** handed to me by good nesses, he definitely doesn't suck, and he's not useless at all, just different.
