Who are the best Mario's and what are their playstyles?

I was just wondering, but who are the best Marios? I haven't really seen that many, but i've seen Monk and I think he's probably up there.

I think I might be one of the better ones (gonna get some vids up soon).

Oh thanks I didn't know that eggz still played. Haven't seen a lot of those i'll have to look em up later.

And I think you can make claims about yourself as long as your not arrogant or stupid about it. :p

monk is pretty good as well

I myself have gotten allot better in the past month (got the game a month ago or something like that) but I have no recording equipment to I have no proof but if you want a match to see for yourself, my experience, then just IM me when you want to play (my IM is apmpnmdslkbk)

Envy, Help, WWJD and TC1 are also some of the best Mario's on the West Coast....I heard Silv plays, but doesn't main Mario.

No offense, but this is a pretty silly question. I've metionted this before in another thread, but to name one person or even 10 people as the best mario is impossible. There are without a doubt hundreds of beastly mario players.

Just because you people only know a few of the good ones doesn't mean they are better than everyone else.

Lol there aren't too many Mario's but it would be sort of hard to judge. And thanks Envy for Repping me lol. I'm pretty stoked on that. Uhmm Eggz doesnt main Mario, but I'm sure it's not too bad, He ***** me in Mario dittos, but I also get ***** by anyone in Mario Dittos. And I agree with Envy's list for the West Coast.

There are only 2 Mario mains in Wa an that's Fear and I. Fear isn't too bad, But i don't know too much about him. And When I went to FB3 in Oregon There was only one other Mario Main, which I don't recall being to good. Anyways Oregon is pretty much in love with my Mario lol.

Tercel I doubt there are actally 100 people who play Mario competitively in probably the US and Japan Combined, but at least the US. Or atleast in IMO. I don't hear about too many Mario's. The west coast seems to only have like about 8 :p

*Edit: I believe the original question also wanted to know our playstyles too. Well I can say mine is just to Sh Fireball to jab (a 2nd jab if felt like) to Downsmash. Also well spaced Fsmashes. Then either than that it's baiting and reading the oppenent.

Eggz was a much better Mario in Melee. He isn't among the very top anymore, though still very good (unless he's improved since I last saw him play). And of course those who give useful Mario advice on this forum are likely very good Marios. ??????? is a good Mario and Monk is a very good Mario, but there are too many Marios to mention.

I disapprove of this thread because I refuse to toot my own horn which takes the fun out of it completely.

Fear plays an interesting mario. Very abnormal. Not sure how he ranks up to ppl now, but hes improved a lot the last month, and does best against me than every other mario player (but than again that could be just because he plays me all the time). As of now I wont say hes one of the top on the west coast, but after the next GameClucks we'll see.

Edit: Silv hasnt gone to any tournaments in WA, but hes a WA player so as far as I can tell he doesnt play.

i mean i recently bought some new mario shirts that one is old i would sell you for like $5.....size

2XL.....3XL

shirt has mario's face on it giving a thumbs up and it says "down since 85"

and then the other is just 2-Bit mario and it says "classic"

if i go to georgia i will hook u up...

I know it's random, but I'm half black......

Anyways, I'm pretty confident in my Mario, but I've only been to one brawl tournament which used pooling and went on to like 2 a.m. I didn't place top 5, but everyone I played told me that I have a beastly Mario. That was a little more than a month ago. Since then, I would say that I've gotten considerably better, but I'll find out for sure this Saturday when I go to another tournament at the same place. In case anyone is wondering, I'm from Orlando, FL and there really aren't a lot of Marios out here.

Same here, dude. I'm going to attend the same tournament i had participated in last month ish. I didn't do well on my last performance because I lacked experience. However, I expect I'd perform better this time though there are many good players in my area.

Yea, last tournament I went to, I was pretty good, but now I have learned to incorporate the FLUDD into my playstyle. Armed with it, hopefully I can perform better at this tourney. There are a lot of good players in my area, but at that last tournament, I only say one other Mario besides myself.
