who are the best falcos

in recent tournies? i was just curious..looking for more people to watch i guess..i noticed dashizwiz has insane technical skill..wondering how good he places? some people seem to be able to read him pretty well though

PC Chris is the best in the United States, followed by Forward. Other good US Falcos include DaShiz, Dope, Dav3, and some others.

The best in Japan is clearly Bombsoldier.

Someone (I think Manacloud) said that when ken went to Japan bombsoldier actually gave him a harder time than PC Chris.

We haven't seen many videos of his recent play but I'm sure he has improved greatly since JGT. Hopefully we'll get a taste of it at OC3.

Hmm. I remember seeing a video of Ken playing Falco, or I think it was him..

Or maybe I am refering to the wrong person, Ken is the guy who is known as the best smasher along with his Marth I think? I also heard he is also the greatest with a number of characters from the roster, thought Falco was one of them though.

As far as I know Ken is not one of the best Falco playes, he is the best and plays Marth he also plays fox on occasion but I don't recall him ever playing a Falco or at least not for tournaments

You're thinking of Azen, otherwise known as "The 26 character wonder." To reiterate, we get these threads way too much. PC is currently ranked number one, with Forward being presumably next and DaShizWiz and Dope being close behind. As far as Japan, we only have old footage to really judge Bombsoldier by, but at the time it was incredibly impressive. Since then we only have hype and assumptions to go on, but considering there hasn't been a truly notable Falco to emerge from japan, we can speculate that BombSoldier is still top Falco there.

And you said you wonder how good I place? Well, I went to INN V and got 4th. But thats one of the only major tournaments I've really went to now that I'm actually good at the game(I hope, lol). But I did just go to a tournament like yesterday/two days ago and I won that one.

you are silly if you think any of the top players arent good with a good majority of the cast, and actually there is a fairly recent vid of ken using falco against mangos jigglypuff from some california biweekly, however he is obviously not renowned for his falco play, but he surely has a solid one.

The best falco is some guy named DaCheeseWizard or something...

As to the real question at hand, best Falco isn't specific enough to be really measured. On the MLG ratings, the top rated Falco main was PC Chris, followed by Dope, but Forward didn't really travel at the time, so it seems a bit faulty to go to those ratings. Going on recent tournament track-records, PC is still probably the most impressive, but Forward's been on a tear recently, so I'd say those 2 are the ones to watch. Shiz is starting to make a name for himself too, but still isn't pulling in results like Forward and PC.

Whatever, just watch PC, Forward, Shiz, Dope, Dav3, and anyone else you want to and make the judgement for yourself. Calling anyone the best is always too subjective, and this thread is kind of annoying since there's a sticky right up top giving you videos of top Falco's :\.

Sorry to burst your bubble but bomb soldier won't be showing up. Well it's actually because of me. I made it my job to gather funds for bomb soldier because he don't have any money and he is pretty poor. But he can't go unless his brother disc comes. So the flight and everything will cost very very rough estimate........about 3000 or 2500. to support them shelter food flight etc. because they won't have any money.

In conclusion I haven't gathered funds at all because no one wants to help. The midwest especially. Actually I was supposed to gather only from the midwest. I did everything I could but midwest doesn't want to see bombsoldier.

I love Dope's style, but PC has his own thing going on that you can't really emulate from videos. I find PC to be a Falco that you look up to, but don't copy.

I mean, I agree with your opinion about Bombsoldier being retardedly overhyped, but you're doing the same thing saying that Azen is probably the best Falco. Basing the best Falco on a tiny amount of videos rather than a history of tournament success is silly. Azen is indeed successful, but it's mostly with Marth with a little bit of CF sprinkled on the side, there are only a couple vids of him playing Falco anywhere, so please don't try to pass him off as one of the best Falcos. Besides, watching Azen doesn't teach you anything, it's just "Oh, look, if I could space and time all my smash attacks perfectly, I'd probably be pretty good too." If you want to learn technique and how to play Falco, stick to the Falco mains.

azen is great with every character, if you wouldn't consider him one of the best falcos it would be because he isn't one of his legit mains or just because he doesn't really have a main other than marth i guess but thats just against higher level pros.

Azen deserves to be mentioned as one of the "top" falcos since he actually uses him in tournaments and can play him at a pro level competitively. Now is he at the level with falco of PC or Forward probably not, because they are both high calibur players with many characters themselves but they play falco a majority or a good amount of the time. Beyond that I have no idea how azen would do.

I don't find it hard to believe that he would place better at a tournament with falco than dope and dashizwiz (not trying to insult anyone at all here by the way i think dope and shiz are both amazing) just by virtue of the fact that his skills carry across most of his characters. His technical skill might not be on par but his midgames and manuvering are still intact which more than make up for him not being able to triple shine or something. Either way we're talking about one of the top 5 players easily in the nation right now sooooo...

To many good falcos these days to be honest. Those are really the most known ones.

BTW, Azen's falco is the hardest falco I've played to date. He beat me by one stock last time I played him. Azen doesn't play fancy but he does play effectively and most definitely deserves to be mentioned.

I know for sure I would say top four are PC, Forward, Azen and Dope.

Could throw Bob$ in there too...
