I don't play Melee anymore with the release of Brawl, but I'm just wondering, which version of Melee do tourneys use? 1.0, 1.1 or 1.2?

I fight for my friends.
... What?

There is only one version of melee as far as I'm concerned. I'm clueless about there being other versions out there O.o.

Whoever brings whatever, it'd be too hard to regulate and the differences are minuscule, things that were removed aren't used in metagame so it doesn't matter. BUT, it tends to be 1.0 more than others because of the fact that most smashers who are in the competitive scene have at least HAD the game since the beginning.

Anything is fine. the problems start when the European smashers and the North American smashers start playing together. PAL version has all this nerfed Sheik and Meteor Smashing Marth d-air nonsense.

Nobody cares. Though it really should matter in teams, since trajectory when getting hit by 2 attacks at once can be pretty different between versions.
