Which Project M characters have you "earned"?

A while back, I had an idea that amused me. I created a list of every character in Smash Brothers and tallied up their games based upon if I had finished one of their main games or not. Since the entire current roster contains just about every Pre-Smash4 Character in some form or another, I figured I would pose the question to the rest of you and see where you stand on the topic. Which characters have you earned to play as following these rules?

(If this isn't the appropriate forum for this, let me know. I wanted to specifically talk to Project M players regarding this, so the General Discussion seemed most appropriate)

The Rules​

1) Party/Sports games do not count towards this list. So no Mario Karts or Wariowares. Full length adventures only. (As full length as that character's game will permit)
2) The character tallied must have been a permanent playable character in the completed game. Super Mario RPG would count for Bowser, but Super Mario World 2: Yoshi's Island would not count for Mario.
3) If a character is never playable outside of VS mode for player 1 for any game, the franchise's games where they are physically present at some point count towards the tally. Zelda counts for most Legend of Zelda games, and Falco counts for most Starfox games. (For the purpose of this list, screw the Zelda CDI Monstrosities)
3a) The first exception these rules is the Link clause which states "For purposes of this list, a Link is a Link. They all have the spirit of the hero anyways".
3b) The second exception is R.O.B. who is not playable in anything outside of Smash and Mario Kart. The Robotic Operating Buddy games that a R.O.B. would be used for, count, even if you don't use a R.O.B. to play it.(Gyromite/Stack Up)

So I haven't earned Captain Falcon, any of the Pokemon, the Ice Climbers, Lucas, Ness, Marth, Roy, Snake, R.O.B., and Pit.
It's sad that Captain Falcon is one of my favorite characters and I've never even played one of his games...

I'm glad to see that this thread is taking off...a little. It's a long process to write up a list for the games you've finished, but this feeling like you haven't earned a character can introduce you to fantastic games. It's rewarding for everyone.

So I haven't earned Captain Falcon, any of the Pokemon, the Ice Climbers, Lucas, Ness, Marth, Roy, Snake, R.O.B., and Pit.
It's sad that Captain Falcon is one of my favorite characters and I've never even played one of his games...

I recommend F-zero X to start the series. It has the most tracks (it can randomly generate new ones), the death race mode, balanced vehicles, great speeds for beginners and pros with advanced technique. It's only 1000 points or w/e on the shop.

Zelda in Spirit Tracks is a helper, you cannot play as her permanently. Wolf is playable only in 4 missions and not during the entirety of the game. Falco on the otherhand....true for the most part, though I have finished Star Fox 2, in which he is playable.

The way I determined it was if I'd beaten the game. The list would be bigger if I'd just played the games. Maybe I should make an alternate list with "Experienced their games" or something in the future.

Oh just noticed something, where is Ike on this?

You can put Ike on your list, as for me, I haven't finished games with him or Wario, so instead of wasting time writing them up as 0, I just didn't write them down until I did finish a game with them as a main character.

Mario is the leader of the pack (15). Also played through a good chunk of Link's adventures, and a few of Sonic's (4). Ness and Lucas haven't been in many games, but I've played both of their adventures (1 each). It would be fun to give Fusion and Zero Mission a run for Metroid (2).
I've enjoyed a fair bit of DK, and I'm surprised at how many more Kirby games I've played over the other series. I should also find a way to beat F-Zero X. I've beaten the first three Metal Gear Solid games, but I sadly can't count 2 and 3 because Solid Snake wasn't technically playable in either game.

EDIT: I've also beaten Wario Land 2. I hear the 3 is a masterpiece. I'll have to play it sometime
