Which characters should be replaced?

With the upcoming Super Smash Bros. game for Wii U and 3DS, I think this is something to be discussed. Masahiro Sakurai has said he doesn't want to increase the roster size, merely replace characters with other ones. I made a video about it:

Sakurai never said that he wanted to replace characters. Just that he wanted people to remember that there was more to making a sequel than just adding a bunch of characters.
