Hello all, I've been playing Jiggs for some time now at a semi-competitive level. I don't really go to any tournaments but I play every Friday at my college smashfests which has several good players. Right now I'm stuck, I'm not really sure what to focus on in terms of improving and I'm consistently getting beaten by a couple of players. Personally I feel like I have a good spacies match up and do well against marth and peach, but I struggle with sheik and for whatever reason I suck against captain falcon. Anyways, here are two videos of me playing against a fox player and a shiek/icies player and I was hoping to get some helpful critique.

This is the more important one to watch if I had to choose one. I miss an obvious up-throw rest at the end, this isn't usual, but I really need help understanding how to improve my neutral game here.

This is a long one so I don't expect anyone to watch it all, though they are some pretty good games if I do say so myself.

Any helpful comment would be greatly appreciated! Thank you!

Also, if you have time/are bored here are some other videos of me:

TL;DR: Critique my puff in first two videos please! Other vids not that important

I don't really play Puff (yet?) or even a lot of Melee, but since no one has responded, I'll go ahead and point something out. Your biggest mistake in the last match of the first video was not missing rests, but approaching a laser camping Fox when you were up a whole stock. You let him fool you into thinking he had an advantage when all you had to do was hang out on the ledge until he decides he has to approach. Instead, you went right in and got yourself killed.

Being a Mewtwo main, I feel odd replying to this, but Jigglypuff is a character I use often anyway, so I'm going to give you a few pointers.

A: Start every match with a Bair wall. doing this will cause your foe to be frustrated and unable of attacking, giving you a free stock. Of course, you can not do this for every stock, but try to hit him with a Bair anyway.

B: Don't use Rest as often as you do. The only time I use rest is when I'm in a tight position or I get impatient on a Falco. Rest is very situational and you have to use the most narrow of opportunities to execute it with graceful results.

and C: Jigglypuff is not an all-out character. Jigglypuff is an aerial-***-kicker. Using puff on the ground efficiently is as hard as breaking a titanium wall with a pinkie finger. If your opponent is in the air for a prolonged time, then kill them on the spot. If they are on the ground, stay near the edge and beg they go for an aerial assault.

Put yo skill points into stage control and spacing along with mindgames
Think of puff as an rpg character and think of how you've practiced and look at what you have neglected. Basically imagine that this is a game called fallout.
Also, If you can hit the rest, use it as much as possible. If you even stocks but at higher percent and you trade stocks with rest you get the advantage
