Where do I look to find "casual" SSB tournaments?

I've been trying to look for casual SSBB tourneys. For example, I know there is going to be a Mario Kart Wii tourney in my local library, but nothing Brawl related so far. Where else can I find them?

Casual.....tournament?

I've never seen those two words in the same sentence like that.

you won't find them here.

Honestly if you want to find a "casual" tournament....then just go around online to any websites other than here, or hold one yourself with your friends/at your school.

however be warned, any casual tournament will have some really crappy rulesets in place, and if just one person knows how to take advantage of the poorly thoughtout ruleset, they'll dominate the tournament....

...or they'll be kicked out for playing "cheap" because casuals always have that scrub mentality....

At this point I'd take anything. I just gave up on finding competitive tournaments that are near by/I actually have a chance in.

Then probably the best thing for you would be to start your own. Invite a bunch of people, put up fliers, etc.. Maybe it will grow into a more competitive tourney over time, given people will want to come to these.
