Smash 3DS Where can i find a mp3 to .nus3bank converter?

Sorry if this the wrong place but it seemed most fit since the others where not relevant to smash modding. want to make a music pack for my homebrewed 3ds and that is the one problem i found, there is no public way to make your own music unless it fits the specs of what smashcustommusic allows. So is there any public converter out there or any way to make my own conversions?

You'd have better luck asking on gbatemp or hcs64 than here. Nobody on this board is capable of modding.

Vgmtoolbox could possibly contain a method of conversion, but I don't fully recall.

Okay! I've spent all day trying to use python code to magically make nus3bank files, but then I realized an even easier method.

Smash custom music http://www.smashcustommusic.com/ can convert brstm files (Brawl Music Files) into nus3bank files (Smash4 Music Files).
Just pick a song you want, then select the drop down menu "Download or Add Template For" and select Smash3ds or Wiiu. This will convert the brstm into a nus3bank file.

BUT! I couldn't find the song I wanted there. So I found a brstm converter some incredible genius made

This program allows you to input a wav, and make brstms.

BUT! I only had an mp3 of the song!
So I downloaded audacity, edited the song so that it looped properly, And saved it as a wav file.

I then put this wav file into the brstm converter.

Then I uploaded the brstm to Smash Custom Music

Then I downloaded it as a nus3bank file.


Once you have the brstm converter, audacity, and an account on brawl custom music. The process is rather fast.

Mind testing out my custom song on your 3ds?

Also, you can probably find other programs or a website that converts mp3s to wav files besides audacity. But audacity lets ya edit it so you can have the song fade out or loop better.

Escabrera, just delete the song after you upload it if it isn't videogame music.

You need to convert your WAV file into a BRSTM file. Then convert that file to an IDSP file. Then inject that file into a nus3bank file. This is the reverse of how they got the sound files from the games uploaded onto the internet.

The problem with this method is that I'm obligated to reject any upload to SCM that isn't video game music, looped properly or terrible in quality; of which is stated quite blatantly above the upload button. OP clearly states and acknowledged that.

If you really want the quick .nus3bank of your audio, at least delete the upload once you've obtained it if you know your song is already violating site rules.

Download python 27.
Before running a program.py in the command line type python.
So "python program.py"

Also look up how to add environment variables. Add python to your environment variables. Its different on every computer.

so smash custom music has turned off the ability for normal users to upload files. all I want to do is make a victory theme for a character. I can get as far as converting it to a brstm. has there been any new programs that can convert to nus3bank format?
