Yes there are actually, there's this guy named Randall00 setting tournaments ALMOST everyday at Calgary, Canada.

I would suggest you check out the Canadian Smash scene in the Regional Sections. From the main page, click on Regional Zones -> Canada. There are active scenes in Montreal, Toronto, Ottawa, Mississauga, and many other regions. You just need to look .

Randall lives in Calgary, which is a ways away from Northwestern Ontario >_>. And he doesn't have them EVERY day...
