i think not!
first of all, i dont want any generic fighters. id rather hav an energy beam shooting dragon or a fire conjuring chicken or a wave blasting fox than a wooden doll with boxing gloves and one with extendable springs. i dont see them very unique. and anyway, they would take up 2/3 slots because if one got in then they would all get in. that means less unique pokemon characters and more boring generic fighters.

QFT

If you want a fighting type than look at Lucario and Blaziken. Their both fighting types AND another type so they have alot more uniqueness to their moves.

wats QFT? im not sayin i dont want any fighters, i just dont want any pure fighting types with nothing but boxing gloves and springs. i mean do you really think a pokemon like hitmonchan would be an interesting character? "ooo he has boxing gloves! thats so unique! he can use soo many fighting type moves! sky uppercut, mach punch... umm... fire punch..."
sounds boring. if you want a boxer get that guy from that boxing game... little mac i think it is.

Xianfeng,

Do you use a cheating device like Action Replay or Game Shark to get rare pokemons in all of the versions? Just wondering.

But if you do, SHAME ON YOU ! !

Cheating is wrong ya know?

Actually Lickitung is the only Pokemon who deserves to get into Brawl. But since he's got about as much of a chance as the phone sititng on the desk next to me, Munchlax FTW.

How about Psyduck? He's popular(or rather infamous) and plays a semi- important and recurring role in the anime. I still wonder why he was never even at least put in a pokeball, considering that was a main gag on the show. As a playable character he could have a mix of physical, water, and psychic attacks. Golduck would be sweet too but he's not as recognizable to a non-pokemon fan.

Because Sakurai has already said he's not basing the game off of any anime. The only reason Pikachu got in was because at the time, he was THE most popular Pokemon and was universally considered the mascot of the series. (which I'm pretty sure he still is, although Umbreon is also HUGELY popular...)

People really need to read the first page. And also I highly doubt Munchlax is that popular.
*dies laughing*
You obviously don't know who the very first 4th generation Pokemon was. And who's on the show. And has a humoungous fan base in Japan. And who is quickly becoming Pokemon's second mascot next to Pikachu AND the mascot for Diamond/Pearl alongside Lucario.

DokturSea you forgot something about munchie, hes the pre-evolved from of one of the coolest pkmn
Amen to that.

Man, I would so fly on that plane if it didn't have a giant Plusle and Minun on its side.

Plusle & Minun = Lamest Pokemon ever.

Hmm. His popularity reminds me of another popular pokemon that they added to smash a while ago, but he ended up sucking and nobody liked him... Oh yeah! I think his name was Pichu.

Munchlax is way more popular than pichu and Snorlax is way better than Munchlax but Munchlax is the closes we will ever get to snorlax as a playable character so I have the munchies!

missingno. is clearly the only pokemon of choice for brawl I mean he's too good he's a giant thing of tv static. You can't beat that. How do you hit tv static you can't he is obviously the top tier of pokemon.

I know i said this before but i think blaziken fits your categories perfectly. He looks cool so he would even stand out to a none pokemon fan. He has amazing moves. Blaziken is unique because of his look as a fighter.Only bad thing is he is a starter. But i think he is fairly popular in america i dont know about japan

At some location at some point in time.
When the Brawl topics were just starting I posted a simalar list of rules for pokemon sugestions
To be considered for Brawl a pokemon should be
1popular
2pratical
if a pokemon has no way to pick something up, he is not pratical
all pokemon in meele fit my original criteria
Mewtwo:Legendary
Pikachu:Starter(Yellow Version)
pichu:same evoultionary chain as a starter
Jigglypuff:Appeared everywhere in the anime(I'm suprised he didn't have a marker attack)
lol

I personally prefer Gallade though, Fighting/Psychic is an awsome combo and he blows Gardevoir out of the water but sadly he isn't as well known yet. Gardevoir does have an ok chance, even if I don't personally like her.
