I'm betting on NoA officially announcing the release date of Smash Bros for Wii U along with a bundle involving the system soon. Maybe with the adapter + controller too?

I don't think there has ever been a home console like that for me. I've always gotten Nintendo consoles precisely because they have games that are good enough for me to get my money's worth without buying a ton of games. Really only the DS/3DS have gotten around that number of games I've wanted.Consider buying a system if it has at least 10 games you want.
The PS2, PS3, GameCube, Wii, 3DS, DS - I never owned one, but the 3DS is backwards compatible -, and the Wii U all had at least 10 games I wanted over the course of time. You just have to dig around a lot and be open to different genres. I'm missing some games since I sold them as a kid and now I regret not having Grandia 2, Dark Cloud, Looney Tunes: Back in Action - personally, the best movie-tie/based game ever played -, The Legend of Dragoon, Legaia 2: Duel Saga, I-Ninja, Champions of Norrath & Champions: Return to Arms, and more - I would include Super Mario Sunshine, but I don't like it. Heck, some games I never even owned, but played like Star Fox: Assault, Phantasy Star Universe, Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles, Goblin Commander: Unleash the Horde, and The Bard's Tale. Others I never owned or even known about until way later like Wild Arms 3 - I still remember the trailer and wanted the game so badly as a kid -, Xenosaga, Tenchu, Chrono Trigger, Persona, etc.I don't think there has ever been a home console like that for me. When do we expect the smash bundle to be announced? How long before a game launch are the bundles usually announced?Well buy a wii u if you getting more than 1 game thats for sure
But i would go for the smash bros wii u bundle
I'd say a month or two before, but there have been bundles announced after the game's release like Mario & Luigi: Dream Team, Super Mario 3D World, etc.If I

Thanks a lot, now I have to go boot up Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles again because nostalgia. I've never beaten the game but it's definitely one of my all-time favorite games. The PS2, PS3, GameCube, Wii, 3DS, DS - I never owned one, but the 3DS is backwards compatible -, and the Wii U all had at least 10 games I wanted over the course of time. I just wish the bundle for mario kart wasn't like $400buy now for mario kart, its so goooood
i got this bundleI just wish the bundle for mario kart wasn't like $400
I think I might hold out for Black Friday.i got this bundle
or just wait for inevitable smash wii u bundle, maybe come with the adapter or controller.
yea probably wait. There nothing too exciting on wii u that you cant hold out to play after smash is outI think I might hold out for Black Friday.
I didn't think the sales could possibly be that good, but someone here said " I remember the Flame Red 3DS with Super Mario 3D Land going for $129.99 or something like that" which is a pretty significant discount. That's like a $240 value for half that price.
If I can save anywhere close to 50% on a Wii U + game in 2 months, I think I should maybe wait
disagree, MK8 is awesome.yea probably wait. There nothing too exciting on wii u that you cant hold out to play after smash is out
At first I thought you said Mortal Kombat 8 and I was like "I bet there's still no blood"disagree, MK8 is awesome.
it is awesome, but seems like its not enough to get him to get a wii u and thats fineAt first I thought you said Mortal Kombat 8 and I was like "I bet there's still no blood"
Who?it is awesome, but seems like its not enough to get him to get a wii u and thats fine
you lolWho?
But I am going to get a Wii U. Sometime.you lol
If I can save up to 50% on black friday, which is around smash wii's release, why not?Is "sometime" code for today? Because it should be.
Although if you really are this on the fence about it, I'd wait. Sounds like you'll get it eventually anyway, at this point you might as well hold out to see if any bundle-shenans are in the cards.
Very true, if you can find a good deal on black friday then go for it.If I can save up to 50% on black friday, which is around smash wii's release, why not?
Stressful how?Getting a Black Friday deal like that might be a bit stressful.
On the plus side, it should be less stressful than getting a PS4 on Black Friday. Not sure about Xbox One... it was selling faster than Wii U, but if there's anytime the Wii U is going to beat the Xbox One, it's this Christmas with Mario Kart 8, Smash Bros and discount bundles galore.
Depends on how hard it is to actually get the thing.Stressful how?
2 clicks and mostly just waitingDepends on how hard it is to actually get the thing.
But probably the Wii U won't sell out, so might be fine.
Don't you mean Cyber Monday instead of Black Friday, then?2 clicks and mostly just waiting
Amazon does a Black Friday, don't they?Don't you mean Cyber Monday instead of Black Friday, then?
*shrug*Amazon does a Black Friday, don't they?
If not black friday, there's got to be something. It's been exactly 1 year since Nintendo dropped the price of the Wii U console to the price it has now. They've either gotta drop the price again or throw in a game or do something, because they can't keep selling the same deal for 1 year at the same price.Usually the black friday console bundles are nothing to write home about - but if you can stand waiting, hey, who am I to stop you?
They absolutely can and will, given that they have titles to push on the public now. They may switch up the bundle, though.
