When are the next Conferences and Nintendo Directs?

Hopefully, but it does say these are games for early 2014.

And the last two Directs we got reveals in were for late 2013. I'm doubting we'll see a character tomorrow, but it's still possible regardless of what games being showcased.

The only apprehensiveness I have is that this time it is just for 3DS games, not a General Direct. Sakurai might just save characters for the General Directs.

A character could very well happen. I was more responding to Xenoblaze's remarks that it could be a lot more. I didn't think that would happen, but I'd love to be wrong.

Well, he was somewhat right in the fact we did get a character on that day. But it was Marth, which is more or less the opposite of Pac-Man.

I think it was posted on the Nintendo of Europe facebook (correct me if I'm wrong) I could easily see the images being passed around internally and NOE jumping the gun and showing them early.

Pac-Man could still be revealed to promote Ghostly Adventures overall. Marth was promoting a months old game (and a DS game), so there's no telling.

I don't think that there will be a Nintendo Direct until January. There is no reason to have one this month and if you are going to talk about games that will be released in 2014, you might as well save your announcements until 2014 starts. It's there that I expect a trailer for a newcomer.

…I was wrong.

I am not going to have high expectations in terms of SSB4 in this Nintendo Direct. While it would make sense to announce a character, I'm thinking that we will either get a veteran who is obviously going to be in the game that hasn't been confirmed yet (Zelda, Meta Knight, Wario, etc.), screenshots that barely tell us anything, or nothing at all. I highly doubt we will be shown some fancy trailer like at E3 and get a newcomer like Little Mac or even Melee veteran Mewtwo.

However, if Sakurai proves me wrong, then I will be glad that I am. I'm just not going to expect anything big.

I just remembered, isn't a "Yoshi's Island 2" game being released on 3DS?

Yea, the stream was mainly a drag. Only interesting thing was Rosalina playable in Mario 3d World. No Smash news either. However, I'm sure December's direct, whenever it happens, will be much better.
