What's up with Ike

What's up wih Ike the new character from Fire Emblem, posted on the smash bros. website. Is he going to be like roy or is he going to be completley different.(obviously different sword)

There's a topic on Ike which I'm pretty sure this is being discussed, or it has been discussed.

It's for the most part unknown at this point how he will play. None of us have even seen a video of Ike.

Ike has the ability Aether in Path of Radiance, which was originally a skill that activated Ike's Skill / 2 % of the time. It hit the enemy twice and drained their health to heal Ike.

In addition, his sword Ragnell is ranged. (It shoots lasers)

It's a two-handed sword too, which means that his A attacks won't be exactly the same as Marth and Roy. Even though it mentioned he can use it in one hand doesn't mean he will, and one also has to take into consideration that using a heavy two-hand sword could be worlds apart from Marth and Roy's swords.

Actually, Aether's chance to activate was Skill% which is normally 26-27%. The first hit healed you by the amount of damage given and the second hit negated half of the enemies defense before dealing damage.

Ragnell doesn't shoot lasers, it shoots a crescent shaped shockwave. It's also the first sword I know of with a physical damage ranged attack.

Roy's sword was also a two handed sword with a ranged attack. His ranged attack was a fire based magic attack (it shot a Fire Ball).
