What's the Point of Aura Sphere Cancel?

So, I see a lot of people talk about how they use AS cancel to reduce endlag in combos, but I've never actually seen how it can be effective. Is it really as game-changing as people let on? If so, where could I see an example of why this is so important to Lucario's game?

Dair into Aura sphere cancel, into another Dair, or whatever have you. of course, aura canceling b4 the second kick.

i use it mainly to chain forward airs, or forward air into another aerial. Its like an aerial L cancel.
