There's oh so many topics you could have asked this in, it didn't especially require a new one.

Truth be told, it seems neutral, with no side having an advantage. Ike has the range, Game and Watch has speed, both have the power.

neon..?

I don't really think its neutral but meh. If there is nothing in a thread its because we haven't gotten there yet doesn't mean you can't ask. plus theres a sticky made for asking questions.

60-40 imo, G&W advantage. He has incredible power and can KO before 100% if his Dsmash hits you horizontally. Also, G&W has like zero lag with his attacks, so he doesn't have to dedicate himself in his approaches, which is harder to punish; and as you guys know, Ike is all about reading and punishing. G&W can also easily turtle (pun intended) Ike and gimp him off-stage. G&W isn't easily gimped, his UB auto-spots so you can't dtilt him (unless he f*cks up, but since this is a match-up thread we're talking about the IDEAL circumstances), and if you try to follow him off stage he could potentially stage spike you with his Parachute. The only real disadvantage G&W has is his range and weight. One mess-up past 80% and it's free fodder for Ike's ftilt/usmash, easily KO'ing him. G&W isn't impossible, but he's certainly not a cake-walk either.

What you said is mostly true, but he does have some lag on most of his attacks. Landing during the turtle, for example, produces 12 frames of landing lag. Ike's going to have to play accordingly and take opportunities. I'm planning to do the G&W match-up in the analysis fairly soon, so stay tuned.

Yeah, when I said that it was an over exaggeration ;p. Obviously moves like his Usmash, utilt, dash attack and turtle have some lag, but my point was he's one of the less laggy characters out there. Slight to zerg lag + powerful smashes = huge problems for Ike. :p
