Hey, Wikipedia says that Nintendo controls about 50% of Game freak's activity. And The Pokemon Company is the company who actually owns pokemon. So yes, Game Freak is getting framed =P

I think it's more along the lines of people thinking that Game Freak creates the main Pokemon games and are heavily associated with the series, plus a reveal around Pokemon X/Y's release would no doubt be used to promote the game they made. In any case, we can't really know for sure how much Game Freak is involved with the Pokemon representation in Smash. I just think that the Pokemon Company should be taken under consideration before we say that Game Freak is responsible.

I've been with Pokemon since the beginning. I used to watch the original anime show, but not anymore. The games are fun. I would either try an emulator for the original Gameboy games or jump right away into the DS games. If you wanna start with the DS games, pick up Soul Silver or Heart Gold. The latest is Black and White 2, which is what I'm on. The game is about collecting and battling creatures, exploring new places, and trading.

Pokemon is the most restricted series ad wise. That may be why so many Pokemon are unlockable, Sakurai can't use them in advertising so he makes them secret. I wonder if showing the back of Xerneas's head was a bit of loophole trickery.

I forget. Was this in the initial trailer at E3 or was this in a picture of the day reveal?
Pic of the day the friday when everyone was expecting a pokemon reveal cause X & Y was launching. The caption was something like "I have absolutely nothing to announce regarding pokemon x & y today. Really!".
