Try playing some faster characters as level 9 computers. They do suck, but you will need to truly speed your playing style up.Only one other person I know plays Brawl, but he barely ever does. (He's no so awesome either)
Never, ever, play against Lv. 9 CPUs. They are fast, but all they will teach you is that they have super-human reflexes and powershield everything. The highest level you should go to is 7 if you want something to fight against, and Lv. 3s are good for practicing new strategies.Try playing some faster characters as level 9 computers. Doesn't that make you better by adjusting to super human reflexes you should have no problem adjusting to regular human reflexes. Learning to deal with power shielding is a good way to get your game up, players need to learn how to chain a string of moves in a way its not possible to DI or they get shield broken if they persist to powershield (Not perfectshield).Never, ever, play against Lv. 9 CPUs. What I started doing today and what has worked well is going to Training mode and putting a Lv. 7 CPU on the Run command (I'm not sure if the Lv. 7 rule applies here, I'll have to check). Run is misleading because the computer doesn't just camp until you come at it, it actually engages you. It just doesn't attack. Expect powershielding, spot-dodging, and rolling. It really helps your reflexes if you want to hit with your Thunderstorms and Ftilts.
I don't think so. Cooper's got a point. You should prepare by practicing with enemies with similar reaction times as human beings. If you're trying to hit something that's going to know where your attack is going, the spacings and timing habits you develop could make you miss and get punished.Doesn't that make you better by adjusting to super human reflexes you should have no problem adjusting to regular human reflexes. Actually, check my last post, it corrects the error in my ways. The best advice I can give you for solo training (and this has helped me improve my game immensely) is to play level 4s-5s and focus on not getting hit. It was a HUGE help, though I was already a fairly good [non-competitive] player.Never, ever, play against Lv. 9 CPUs. Alot of people complain about lag though, and I know some of my friends who play solely online, so when I play them IRL, they have sometimes a 1/4 of a second delay in what they do.I would just go online and brawl people. You'll get so much better when playing against someone rather than a computer. Trust me
ahhh, the slow blade penetrates the shield.Kinda like knife fighting in Dune...
BONUS POINTS to whoever understands the Dune reference.
You sir, are full of win. xDpsshh, go to a train station silly.
