What's the best way to get an early grab in?

Jab to grab seems pretty effective, and the easiest way seems to be just shieldgrabbing an approach, but what else can be used to set up for a grab/chaingrab?

I would say shieldgrabbing is most efficient way.

Other ways may include:
SHL/SHDL up close -> Grab
Shine Tripping -> Techchase (very easy if they decide to roll towards you) -> <Insert type of grab here>
Dashgrab approach :/

It really depends what type of player you are playing against.

Immediate aerial phantasm to grab(or pivot grab to go across the stage) right after it says GO.


You'd be surprised how scared people get from the phantasm and shield just welcoming the grab.

SHL or SHDL at close range, techchase after the DownB, tap A then grab (just tap A, not the AAA combo), etc. there are plenty fo ways other than that. Be creative!

dtilt to grab works on some characters like marth

at the start of the match runrunrun superfast over to them and then chaingrab the snot out of 'em

that wont work that well for people who know about the CG it would be better if u D-air then u can grab them

Empty aerial into boost pivot grabbing can work as well. It's all about the mind games when trying to land a grab.
