Zauron
Smash Journeyman
Just as an FYI, I never played Brawl (or Project M) after deciding I didn't like it a few months after release, I've been playing Melee this whole time, if that helps explain my ignorance here...
Also, holding an item prevents you from doing any attack but your B specials, right? That seems very limiting to me, and yet players seem to want to have an item in hand as much as possible. And some characters, like Link, can't even drop an item from the air any more without being forced into their tether animation. Plus, its much easier than it was in Melee to grab items thrown at you, since you can just use an air attack to grab it, you don't have to perfectly time a Z button press to grab any more (in fact, is it even possible to grab an item in the air without also executing an attack at the same time in this game?), which means throwing an item gives any character the ability to catch it and toss it back, no reflector required!
I used to think their strength was just in the fact that you could toss them in multiple directions, adding versatility, but is there more to it than that? What am I missing here?
Thanks in advance!
I've never figured out what's so great about characters that can generate items (like Peach's Turnips) and throw them, can someone enlighten me about what's so good about them? What makes them better than a projectile?Item tossing is the best attack in the game
