Hello Falco players :) I have always loved falco and mained him ever since Melee. I want to never change him as my main because I love him and I'm the most comfortable playing with him. I've used youtube and smashboards many times to try to help improve my falco and it has helped. All the advanced techniques for falco I have got down but now It's how I play that is going to get me to become better. I watch videos to see how I should play with falco and use him often. The one thing I always do though is play online and that is pretty much my way of getting better. I'm not sure if this is really working out because I'm sure most of you would say that online is so much more different than playing offline and it is. I would like to go to local tournaments soon but my question is how should I train my falco since I have all the advanced techniques down? Is it helping that I play all different kinds of brawlers online or should I start playing offline more? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks. :)

I think I saw this somewhere before, but it sums things up so nicely:

Go to your first tournament. Get *****.

Go to another tournament. Get ***** less.

Continue this process.

Profit.

In all honesty, when you start attending tournaments you improve dramatically. Probably one of the biggest things I learnt after attending tournaments is adapting to many different playstyles, which you can sort of get online (I hardly play online, and if I do, I don't use falco). If possible, I recommend offline, but if I have no-one to play with then I don't mind playing online to work on spacing and other important things which can be applied into offline matches.

Before you go to the tournament, try playing some offline matches to get into the real swing of things. Cramming tourney practice works for me, but some people believe otherwise.

Thanks for the advice Vlade =P I went to several melee tournaments before and it really did help me out. I just gotta start going to Brawl tourneys and I only play online a lot is because I have no one to play with offline.
