Hello fellow Smashers!!

Pretty exciting times eh? SSB4 is soon to be released and we are all on the edges of our seats for more information and the inevitable release of the game, of course! So what better time to take a look back at all that has happened to our favorite fighters in their off time. This is a list of every game that has been released so far since Brawl’s release in March 9th, 2008. I’ve listed the games by series of the fighters in the SSBB roster, so if you are curious as to what Link has been up to for 6 years, just scroll on down to The Legend of Zelda section. Every game has its Metacritic score and a Youtube video associated to the game as well to help you catch up on what you may have missed!

-Enjoy and Smash On! <3 Wispy…

You missed a couple of Pokemon games.
Pokemon Typing Adventure
Pokemon Battle Trozei!/Pokemon Link: Battle!
The three JP only Mystery Dungeon games for WiiWare

There's also these enhanced ports (not counting VC):
Four Swords Anniversary Edition
Kirby's Adventure (3D classic)
Kid Icarus (3D classic)

Pokemon Trozei came out in 2006, though you do bring up a good point with the 3DS Trozei game. I'll be sure to add it in later!

As for the ports, I avoided them since they are technically not new games, but rather remakes or enhanced versions. Also did not include LOZ: Wind Waker HD as a result of that. Though on second thought, perhaps I should, since I did include Ocarina of Time 3D...

Thanks for the attention to detail!

That's a pretty comprehensive list. I was expecting to see just the new series between Brawl and now, but this is above and beyond.

I think it would be fair that you only list games for series on Nintendo consoles. This would heavily concern Snake, who hasn't (I believe?) had any Nintendo releases since his inclusion in Brawl.

Its a good list for content, but I think the styling could be better. Having same size font for everything doesn't break sections up for the eye very well, especially when you have both games series and individual games bolded. You could perhaps increase font size for different sections, use indents or colors.

In relation to being stickyable? I think it could maybe find its way into the leading / information posts of this sticky http://smashboards.com/threads/smash-development-history-updated-1-3.324410/ if there's good reception to it.

Yeah, I'll definitely do some editing of the visual elements, was just posting now since it took me so long to do and I wanted some feedback.

Also, forgive me for being new to this, but what does "sticky" mean? Rarely go around forums at all, usually stick to reddit, haha.

sticky just means it will always be on the first page of the forum list and up the top with the other stickied threads.
It will be with the social thread, miiverse daily pic thread, etc.

Ah ok, thanks for the answer. In that case, I'll hop to editing as soon as possible, though it may have to be in a couple days, research reports and jobs to maintain, blarg...

Assuming this list could probably serve as inspiration for trophy/music speculation, or even just for refernce's sake for people wanting to get into represented franchises...

I don't see how this would matter, since MGS4 was heavily represented in Brawl. At the time, MGS4 was an upcoming, highly anticapted killer app on PS3. Not to mention the music and such from other MGS games that never showed up on Nintendo systems (MGS2, MGS3 at the time of Brawl's release, MGS Portable Ops).

There's also Sonic '06 being represented in Brawl, which had no connection to Nintendo.

I made my list looking at the Brawl Character screen, going from top to bottom and left to right. Even though the MGS series isn't a starlet in Nintendo consoles, still think they deserved a spot, just for Smash's sake. Perhaps Snake won't be in 4, but still, it is neat to see the growth series' can go through in just a few years.

...if anyone wants to be upset about a series on this list, it should be me, about sonic. So many bad sonic games, imo, and I had to find videos for all of them...

As far as Sonic goes, you did miss out on the 2011 remake of Sonic CD, and the recent mobile remakes of Sonic 1 and Sonic 2. They're more than just straight up ports, they add a lot of new content to the games, so I feel they deserve recognition here in the same vain as Ocarina of Time 3D (especially since the Sonic 2 remake added the long lost Hidden Palace Zone as well as having a third secret ending). Sonic Jump and Sonic Dash were two blockbuster mobile titles too (though when including Jump, title it as "Sonic Jump 2012", as it is based off an old mobile Sonic game of the same name).

I'll be editing the list and adding more titles tomorrow, thanks for everyone's sharp eyes pointing out what I may have missed.

As for Japanese only games, I'll try to gather information on them, though I may not make it a priority, as info collecting for them can be difficult.

I'll also be adding the smaller titles, like The Game and Watch remakes and a couple mobile games. As for the newcomers, I may add them as more are revealed, but I'd much rather have knowledge of who all the fresh faces will be at once instead of updating one at a time. Thanks again Smashers!

It might not be a bad idea to include a "Nintendo/Mii/Whatever" section for games like NintendoLand and FindMii, unless I missed it. Overall good list

I did originally plan to add a "Nintendo Miscellaneous" part to the list, but I would need help with the research and I had nobody at the time to assist me. Perhaps in the near future though, I could start looking up info.

Thanks for the head start! Really appreciate it! Though seeing Advance Wars really makes me wish it would just come out on the 3DS...

While on the topic of Advance Wars, Days of Ruin finally released in Japan as a Club Nintendo download last year.

For the miscellaneous games, there's Flingsmash (???), The Wonderful 101 (Sept. 2013) (Yes, it's Nintendo's.), Excitebots (2009) and Excitebike World Rally (2009).
