I wanted to ask the few of you who have been here for almost 20 years what this site was like when the bedrock for it was being built? Was there character support threads? Was there threads of any kind? I would like to know what this place look liked in 2000 and the Melee days.

I’m not going to say that I joined during the early 2000s, but I technically joined this site back in 2018 with another name, but have long since deleted that account. You can use a tool called the Wayback Machine, which allows you to see a website evolve throughout time. Just put the link of smashboards on there and you’ll see it.

The earliest screenshot for this site was in the 22nd of September, 2001. You can check it out by clicking this link. Don’t expect every option to be available, as some have been lost throughout time.

Edit: I noticed that if you look up any of the members from the early days of Smashboards, you are most likely not going to find them.

Their is one user I saw on here, I don't remember his name, but he's been on this site since it started in 2000. The guy's avatar was Falco on Corneria in Melee.

Edit: Wait a minute, Verde Coeden Scalesworth Verde Coeden Scalesworth You joined Smashboards in 2001 so you should know what this site was like back in the early days.
