So, you've done it! Pulled off a YYG in the match! Impressive feat!

Now, what do you do?

DEADLINING

I'd only recommend this last stock, and only for a select number of moves at certain percents. Just do it last stock and make sure if you pull it off, they die.

JACKETS

This is where the fun stuff comes in. I recommend getting a jacket on as FAST as possible. The YYG drops right at Ness's feet. Fastest jackets to pull off here are the D-air jacket (Spike jacket) or the U-air jacket, (Star Jacket).

JACKET SWITCH (Optional)
Since jacket switch exists, I'd go to ledge and switch to the PK Thunder, as it has a bigger hitbox and hits farther than the others.

Jacket List:
Thunder Jacket (upb)

PROS:
Strongest Jacket
Two methods of performing
Two variations
Hitbox covers most of your body

CONS:
Startup time is average.

Spike Jacket (d-air)

PROS:
Fast startup time
Meteor Smash
Covers 2/3 of his body

CONS:
Weak on-stage

Star Jacket (u-air)

PROS:
Fast startup time

CONS:
Average strength
Covers 1/3 of his body

Everything below you should probably never use in tournament.

Toy Jacket (u/d-smash)

CONS:
Difficult to perform.
Only works on stages with falling platforms.
Weak strength

Kirby Jacket (kirby inhale)

PROS:
Can be used in doubles
Can be used if other player doesn't know about the jacket
Moderate Strength (much less than u-air, but better than toy jacket)

CONS:
Very Situational

Throw Jacket (other player throws you)

PROS:
Can be used in doubles
Can be used if other player doesn't know about the jacket

CONS:
Terrible Strength
Very Situational

Parasol Jacket (fly down from a parasol and land)
---not allowed tournament wise, pretty useless too---

Barrel Jacket (get shot from barrel item)
---not allowed tournament wise, pretty useless too---

WHAT TO DO WITH JACKET

STALL
Most people just stall until the player comes for you, either by hanging out by ledge or PSI Magnet to block all projectiles. (PSI Magnet is mostly done with PK Thunder Jacket) I don't reccomend going for the offensive, it's just a bad idea. Stall and wait for them to come for you.

PROS:
Safe Option
Reliable

CONS:
Jacket only used once (unless you use 12h refresh) ((hitting 12 hitboxes from different entities refreshes the hitbox))

JACKET U/D-SMASH REFRESH
It's a common misconception that there is no way to regenerate the jacket (other than 12 hit refresh).
But if you U-Smash or D-Smash someone, the jacket will hit and turn into a regular YYG hitbox. Now repeat the JACKET step. U-air and D-air as fast as possible.

PROS:
Refreshes Jacket
Deadline could be used again

CONS:
Not Safe
Not Reliable
