A few thoughts occur in the wake of the direct. FIrst is the split characters. Before it was 35 Brawl vets, now it's 39. The sit of potential returners now stands at 16

I have a feeling Snake and the other Pokemon are most in danger here.

Next is the release window. It was Given as Summer for the 3DS Version and Winter for the WiiU version. This isn't as big a gulf as it first seems as August is the last Month of Summer but that still gives a small amount of time to announce the whole cast. That would give us E3 and a possible trailer in August. I'm thinking multiple reveals at E3

Ness, Jigglypuff, and Captain Falcon are pretty much confirmed.

They've been in every smash game. I know Jigglypuff was never ' confirmed ' for brawl either.

Snake has an extremely low chance. The other pokes have no chance. Falco will definitely be there, dont know about Wolf.

Ice Climbers will probably be there, after the Wobbles hype at EVO last year they'd by stupid not to.

Ganondorf I'm worried about.

Mr Game And Watch has always been there as 'last character unlock' so yeah probably not gonna be announced.

Ike will probably be replace by Chrom or some other character.

If Ashley is in Wario is.

Meta Knight is like 80%

Dont know what to say about R.O.B

I still think that there is a possibility of a 5th Pokemon character since the Super Mario series is represented with 5 characters. So who knows?

Personally I think there'll be 45 characters in Smash 4 but that would mean with no cuts that we're at the limit (39 Brawl movesets plus 6). I think Squirtle, Ivysaur and Snake will be dropped along with one other to make way for 4 more newcomers.

To me, Greninja confirmed means we're going to have a miserable ol time trying to predict who the next newcomers will be. Outside of Palutena at least.

I don't think my heart will be able to take another WTF newcomer.

I definitely think pokemon will get a 5th slot but I think it'll go to Jigglypuff instead of Mewtwo. (I prefer Jigglypuff anyway but it's a shame we probably won't see both)

I'd probably purchase them to have a complete roster regardless.....but I'd happily purchase Squirtle dlc. I liked him in brawl.

I would purchase any amount of DLC if it means new characters/stages. And with the splitting of transformation characters, I think we will have at least 50 on disc characters now.
