What music do you use for your stages?

Like the title says, what do you use? I'm considering putting this in to sub for the Fire Emblem theme on the FE stage - also, if this is the incorrect area for this please tell me so it may be moved.

I'm not much for metal music, but I found this to be particularly awesome. Also, I'm looking in how to loop music, could someone help me on this subject?

I put a wide variety of songs on my build.
After watching PM's Apex montage, I had to put the song in the vid on FD.
I also have a few of the songs from the Smash documentary as menu themes.

As for the other stages, I only add VGM if it has a fitting stage.
(Ex: Elite 4 themes on both Poke Stadiums, Mastermind on Castle Siege)

As for looping songs...I'm clueless.

On a custom Summit I have Dark Dizzy and Blizzard Wolfgang from Megaman. Probably the best decisions of all time outside of using the Garage theme from F-Zero GX on the menu.

I would call that sick cover hard rock rather than metal :p

Send me that song in a .wav and I'll try to loop it. What about looping do you need to know..? I just use brawlbox and fiddle with the two sliders until it sounds gud.

I find boss battle music captures the spirit of a duel best and therefore fills a lot of my smash bros tracks. DDD and zero over dreamland say, or the castle tank boss fight over the halberd. Actually, timesplitters in general just has great tracks that can go all over brawl's. Ice Station? helllllllllllls yes.

I was trying to loop the song I just showed you actually - and sorry for the late-ish response.

Also, I'm just really trying to figure out what the general process of looping a song is. All I really know about it is that is the difficulty of actually looping the song is never a certainty as to it will be either easy or hard. From what I've been told it's never a third direction from either of the two - I hardly modify content ever, I'm not much of a tech in terms of working with files which explains why I haven't changed my base Project M 3.02 very much.

All of these games have excellent music for playing Smash
Especially on some custom stages I have.

I like to put in music that's far too stimulating to focus on the match or so stupid it's hard to focus on the match.

Far too stimulating:
One Winged Angel from FFVII for Dracula's Castle:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fh0a5sWJwDk

MvC2 Carnival for Wario Ware
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AwkPvrH6AT8

Some Good ol' Tango-Jazz fusion (I have no idea where to put it. Open to suggestions.)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Euwx5j9h3YI

Far too Stupid/Distracting

Trolololololololololo... for Rainbow Cruise
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sTSA_sWGM44

Final DUNKstination (more fun than stupid)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cNdgSay_yM0

Nyan Cat- Yeah, I'm probably going to hell for all the times I made my friends listen to this one. I move it around too, so they never know which stage is next. It's almost become a game of "Who can find the annoying earwrom first?"

I also use some of the default songs on Green Hill Zone and Yoshi's Island. "Le Plus Grand Maitre Pokémon" is the french version of "To Be A Master". Does anyone know how to get an î to show up in-game btw ? When you type the letter in the string files you get some japanese character.

I generally stick to arrangements of pieces from the series the stage is from (also factoring in the aesthetic of the stage). So something like Yoshi's Island will feature all Mario jazz while Pirate Ship will have festive folk Zelda music.

The few exceptions for me are the stages that don't have a series, or Smashville lol. I have Final Fantasy for FD, Chrono Trigger for Battlefield, Banjo-Kazooie for Smashville, and Megaman for Pictochat.

Also looping a .wav in Brawlbox is not hard at all. It's simply trial and error for the most part. The playback button is your friend.

i just dig around for tracks on youtube, get a nice extended version. then i pass it through youtube tomp3 converter to get a mp3 file. then i use audacity to convert the mp3 to wav file ,before using brawlbox to convert them one final time to brstms that i can put on stages. then i use brawl song manager to neatly insert and replace songs and change the titles in my music at the start of matches. best part is it takes about 2 minutes to do all that its super easy.

my ever expanding playlist of possible tracks as well as tracks that i already use.

P.S.link me if you want any brstms
P.S.S look at the url LOLZ

How do you go about putting custom tunes on your build?
projectm/pf/sound/strm

Go there, and then go to brawlbrstm dot com or something like that (Google it)
Download songs
Rename them to what brstm you want to replace (Google Brawl brstm list)

Boom you're done. for the most part

I use songs from whatever series the stage hails from.
