What kind of Sheik are you?

What's your playstyle, an aggressive **** your facehole kind of sheik, or a campy wait for your opponent to approach and make a mistake then capitalize on it.

Personally it depends on what I'm facing, a Falco I'm aggressive mainly because he can outcamp me if he wants too, a Marth I camp a lot more because he doesn't have projectiles and stuff. Overall I'm more of an aggressive Sheik, I only tend to camp when I'm behind a stock, or when its 2v1, then I try to go in and out racking up damage.

Sheik is one of the characters that can be played completely different than what you think it should and still ****, there isn't one strategy with Sheik, so I ask, what kind of Sheik are you?

I just spam fair/bair, grab a lot, needle off platforms, etc. I camp like a gay except against space animal.

I also love empty sh ff wavelands.

I shield a lot.

vs marth i spam dash attack and shield a lot, and sh ff waveland forward a lot. no jabs or tilts on the ground since the marths here cc all my tilts and jabs. if he's in the air sneaking a d-tilt under his landing spot is awesome.

vs fox d-throw u-smash or i try to just tech chase w/ reflexes. lots of d-tilt --> f-tilt --> tech chase at ~70%. d-tilt is awesome.

vs puff now i just bair camp and needle spam and d-tilt but not so much d-tilt.

vs falco i play mostly on platforms and top platform with wavelands and isai drop fairs from needles. i try to force a needle to hit him then pour on aggression.

vs peach just puff only more platform camping needles than bair whereas with puff it's more bair than needles.

vs falcon just a lot of f-tilt and grab and bair. and needles from platform --> isai drop fair or dash off fair or more needles. needles are good. i try to not let him move much because when he has room to dd it's pretty stupid.

I like needle cancels to grabs, they're really useful. I'm not a fan of camping... needles never feel very safe to me.

Mostly, I try to get grabs because grabs are amazing. My combos tend to move people to the side so I can try for the gimp kill. Come to think of it, I almost never kill people off the top. Oh well.

Oh, and run forward to wavedash back, repeat, as an approach. Sooo cool looking. Also, needle canceling on a platform then running off to a fair.

i could not agree more about the change in style between falco and marth

overall, my sheik is more defensive, even against falco
yes i have to deal with the lasers (and this becomes a real pain in the *** on fd) but if you maneuver your way around them you can still wd dance around until you mindgame the falco

overall, i spam the **** outta dash forward --> wd back, it works wonders!

i dont even know what i do anymore, if i want i can camp against everyone except fox, fox is probably the most dynamic matchup i have where i switch from defense to offense constantly. i still hate playing foxes, but i kinda enjoy the challenge nowadays

Yea I agree with that, thats how I feel about both fox and falco. Their shield pressure game is ridiculous and you can only really roll away or try to n-air OOS.

So I usually try to switch between offense and defense to prevent myself from getting in that position so easily.

I love fighting fox really its a fun match up even if it isn't in my favor.
