Admit it. Everyone likes Pokemon, even you. You've probably played the games, trained Pokemon, and even entertained what the game would be like if you had made it yourself once or twice, right? Well, get ready to put that to use, because What is Your Pokemon World? (2010) is all about making your own Pokemon world, and adding your own touches and tastes to the game to create an adventure that even Nintendo couldn't dream up.

Explanation:
Its a well established fact that much of the world's diversity of life forms is found in rain forests. Who knows what can be found there? It's only up to your imagination to establish the different types of Pokemon there, and what kinds of adventures are in store!

---Picture or description of trainer and hometown (+2)
Total: 4 Possible Points

-Storyline: Who is your trainer and where are they going?
---Story of trainer's adventure (Must Include):

-----An epic ending to the trainer's adventure (6)

---Consistency (Automatic 7, Confusing and convoluted plot warrants 1 point off every time it interferes with your story)

-New Casual Mechanics (2): Along the lines of new activities, minigame system, new breeding method, item creation etc.

Rules:
-No plagiarism. We will know. Make it your own.
-Pictures aren't necessary, but they're cool to have in your stories. If you can manage screen-shots, great.
-No joke entries
-No revealing bits and pieces of work beforehand or hints of any kind along with "*Snicker* Haha my story is great"*.
-No attacking others' works
-As long as you want. Longer doesn't necessarily constitute better though.
-Most importantly, your legendary Pokemon must tie in completely to the theme and storyline. Once that is done, you can add as much as you want to it as long as it makes sense.
-COLLABORATION IS OKAY! In fact, it is encouraged. You are allowed to work with a partner in the creation of your Pokemon world.

Prize:
May discuss what is to be in the next contest and help judge the next contest if they wish. And plus, you'll be really, REALLY cool.

Sounds fun, and kinda similar to what's going on in the SWF-Dex thread, but more story-based. I used to love writing up stories about my own region with its own Pokemon when I was younger. That's basically what this is, right? I wish the setting (rainforest) wasn't already set in stone, though....

I'm currently working on mine, it's not a traditional Pokemon adventure (focusing more on story than catching and training pokemon, similar to Colosseum) put I hope that the judges like it.

The judges won't be revealed at all until the end (Will I be one!? It's a mystery!!!).
And, um, the deadline can be March 14th at 11:59 Pacific Coast Time.

Okay my region is in an oasis area ( rainforest/desert and lake all in one)
It is called the Sierra region.
STORY: The story starts when your character decides to become a pokemon trainer. Your lazy friend/rival loses a bet and has to do the same. You enter professor pine's lab and choose a starter pokemon
Tailemer
Lemur pokemon
grass
Tailemer enjoy treetops, they often are found ond roofs and skyscrapers.

Burther
snake pokemon
fire/poison
They use heat sensing rather than sight, Burther can eject flares from the pattern on their body.

Pupaqua
playful pokemon
water
Pupaqua can be extremely playful, they chase their tail when exited.

....Still thinking of more story XD
