Well naturally most everyone will say SNES (by evidence of the System Poll)

And I don't disagree. :)

Ah the classics...

I really liked the genesis, it had the greatest Sonic game ever and one of my most favorite games ever on it, Sonic & Knuckles. If I owned an SNES, it probably would be my favorite, but it still ranks no. 2 on my list.

The old NES is my favorite, with the SNES close behind.

There's nothing I love better than to play all my favorite franchises' original games on the NES. Mario, Zelda, DK, Metroid, Battletoads, Turtles, Kid Icarus, how can I ever forget you........

OLdschool forever!

Well, my first place is both SNES (DUH!) and the compleat Genesis, (with the 32X and CD attachments.)Those two together had some of the greatest games of all time, especially RPGs. (Final Fantasy, Chrono trigger, Phantasy Star, LUNAR)

The second place goes to NES, simply7 because its REALLY fun to play. Mine doesn't work anymore. :( :(

Third goes to the Saturn.

As for the "new"Sytems. (64 bit and up,) I like the PS better than N64, simply because I liked virtually NO games fir the 64 exept mabey 2. (SSB is one, of coarse.)

And in the REALLY new ones, The PS2 and GCN tie in together, and the X-box, while it has some good games, really doesn't compare. It's fun for a while, and if someone gave me one, I wouldn't turn it down, but I'd rather have one of the other two.

I'd have to say SNES too, but the Mega Drive had some cool games for it (Shining Force II for example). But I'd say SNES is definately my favourite OLD system.

The NES was cool it came with two games in one, two controllers, and it also came with the gun. Now all we get is one controller and maybe a crappy demo.

Hey, Saya-Kirby, Shining force 2 was for the Genesis, not the master system.

Albeit I will agree that Mastersystem has many great games. :D

SNES!!!

Nothing can beat it... It has the classic games that make you cry.

Of course, we have some horrible games on it like wheel of fortune and Home Alone1 and 2.

Sega Genesis. I DID own an SNES, but by God, someway....somehow....I spent more time playing Sonic than I ever did any Super Nintendo game. My need for speed was too great back then. =o)

The only Super Nintendo game I spent a comparable amount of time playing was Earthbound...for obvious reasons.

Yeah, definitely the Super Nintendo. Wayyyyyyyy too many awesome games. It's probably my second-favorite console of all time, the first being the Wii.

I don't know if the N64 counts as old (as nothing better has come out in my opinion), but it tops my list.

Given that the majority of my childhood was spent playing the 64, I would say that one.

However, now that I've had a chance to play games earlier than that system, I have to say the SNES and NES has a great selection.

I really can't pick one, I guess, but I think the SNES, because even though the first game I ever played was on the NES, the SNES was where I REALLY started gaming.

I'm torn between the SNES and the original Playstation. The Super Nintendo was the first console that I owned, and I had alot of really great times on it, but the Playstation games that I played really set the foundation for me wanting to pursue video game design.

So, I'm going to go Original Playstion > Super Nintendo, but not by much.
