What is your favorite metal gear solid game?

Ah, the MGS series is my favorite of all video game series (Zelda is a close second).
The title of favorite MGS game I'd say is tied between MGS1 and MGS3.
The first game had a very original feel to it, a story that was simple yet gripping, and amazing gameplay. Truly a classic.
The third game brings a ton of nostalgia along with it. The story is amazing, and extremely emotional. It shows us how the Metal Gear story all began. It's also got amazing gameplay, and a stealth and camouflage system that added a very interesting dynamic. Not to mention the whole survival aspect and treating wounds.
The second game was a bit disappointing for me, as I would've preferred to play more as Snake and not Raiden, and the story was a bit convoluted. Still a great game though.

I am like so mad, because all of my friends hated 3 for some reason, Their favorite, is 2. But it just doesnt make anysense to me (why they would favor 2, as well as 2's storyline)
I mean 3's got it all. Better camera angle (if you bought the rerelease) better story, better stealth combat, HELL it felt like rambo, and you got to play as the coolest charcter in the MGS series (SPOILER: yeah. youre big boss. At least I thought he was cool) And you get the best remix of the MGS theme. OH and you dont have to play as raiden (although technically you can)

Whoa! what a question my favorite out of all was Metal Gear solid:Twin Snakes as well as the one that was originally on the playstation, it was indeed a good game with a good storyline along with some surprises which I really liked I also liked MGS2 which was good because it introduced some new foes as well as new abilities like first person and hiding in lockers which were good, I also liked MGS3: substence which was with a good storyline along with minigames but i'll have to say I didn't enjoy it as much as the first two, but it was good, i really am looking forward to playing MGS4 someday which is dissapointing that it is only coming out on PS3 , it would have been graet it it had appeared on Wii
