My friend doesn't want his wii hacked nor does he want anything else downloaded onto his wii.

First, I tested bannerbomb and smash stack on my wii first so I don't accidentally **** my friend's wii up. Smash stack works fine but I have to always remove and insert the custom stage file whenever we want to play B+ (we have to remove the file so the game doesn't freeze during stage selection, and insert the file so we can load the exploit). This can be pretty cumbersome. Bannerbomb, however, gets an Exception DSI occurrence error after GeckoOS is done loading the codes. I'm not entirely sure but do Exception DSI errors only happen to hacked wiis? If I attempt the bannerbomb on my friend's wii, will it have a DSI error or will it just freeze?

Anyways, if any of you guys can think of other methods of loading B+ aside from downloading the HBC onto the wii, please tell me.

Um, yeah, that's the Smash Stack method. I already know how to do this as noted in my original post but I was wondering if there's another method that is less cumbersome due to the whole reinsert and ejecting the SD card just to rename a stage file.

Use the disable custom stages code with Brawl+ if you're using smashstack. You won't have to remove the SD card at all.

You mean that the disable custom stages code isn't already in the default B+ .gct?
I'll go test that out, thanks!

EDIT: Looks like you're right, the Disable Custom Stage Code did solve the problem, though I'm wondering why it isn't in the default .gct when I downloaded through updatifier...

It wasn't in the default GCT because a lot of people wouldn't stop demanding for that code to be removed from the official codeset, so we made two GCT's, one with and one without... those are in the B+.net downloads page.

Anyway, I'll lock since your question's been answered
